The Hour Glass The Stolen Treasure By Bianca Serena Foulser

It was December 24th.' it was a cold Christmas Eve.
There was a thick blanket of white snow outside from the earlier storm, but now only light flakes were falling. The moonlight shone through a gap in the snow clouds making the flakes glisten, they seemed to dance as if they had a life of their own.

Annabel was enchanted as she looked out of her bedroom window. She loved this time of year, everything looked so special covered in soft downy white. And of course she was excited about this evening. Her parents were going to take her and her younger brother Matthew to see 'Azzall The Magnificent,' the best magician in the whole world. Her parents and friends had told her that his show was not like any other show.' his magic tricks surpassed all expectations.

Annabel had seen posters at the local store showing Azzall The Magnificent. he looked strange and stirking with his thick black shiny hair and piercing green eyes. He had a long red satin cloak flowing down behind him, which gave great promise of mystery.

Deeper and deeper her imagination carried her away when suddenly the chiming of the antique grandfather cloack on the landing bought her out of her daydream. She counted seven chimes.
The sound of footsteps on the staircase let her know that Matthew was coming to find her......
